Connor Andreano-Young is a Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in emergency medicine, psychiatry, addiction treatment, and chronic psychiatric disease management.
Originally from New Jersey, Connor is a second-generation Italian American who grew up with a passion for both medicine and the arts. Before entering healthcare, he worked in photography and graphic arts in Dallas, Texas, including roles in advertising and management with Bell Systems. He also owned an art gallery in the Deep Ellum area of downtown Dallas for several years.
Connor later returned to college and earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He completed an internship in Critical Care Nursing at Methodist Hospital in Dallas before joining UT Southwestern Medical Center’s CVICU heart and lung transplant team.
He went on to work in emergency departments at Parkland and St. Paul for UT, then earned his Master of Science from Texas Woman’s University as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a minor in Biology.
Over the past 22 years as a Nurse Practitioner, Connor has focused on emergency medicine and psychiatry. His background includes 14 years with a St. Louis practice specializing in chronic psychiatric disease management, addiction, and research, while also working in emergency departments across the state.
Before moving to Winston-Salem, Connor retired from the Veterans Administration, where he practiced emergency medicine at John Cochran Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Outside of work, Connor enjoys motorcycling, writing, powerlifting, and multimedia visual art. He is married and has two cats that run the house.
